local fishing shop should have some light weight tripods for beach casters
you want to look at the bigger tripods as it get windy on the beach

buying all that is nearly more expensive than buying a proper stand:o

    edit

    quick search for cheap stand.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shakespeare-Beach-Rest-Silver-1-2/dp/B004AHLRQU/ref=sr_1_48?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1316053960&sr=1-48

free delivery, but you'll have to buy something else to bring the total price above 25 quid to avail of it.

    Oops, sorry:o.

To avail of the free shipping your order has to be over 25 quid and all the items in the order have to be marked as "free shipping". This is usually no problem as you can select to only see free delivery items.
The only extra you get hit for should be the difference between UK and our VAT which is very small.
