I reckon you'd be better off with a courier. You'd get a club from Cork to dublin for about €25 I'd say. Full set for for €35ish I'd say. It'd be more reliable than An Post anyway. I haven't sent clubs with a courier but have sent various parcels for in and around that price.

You can post a single club for €7.50,that includes insurance and track and trace,I've sent a good few and never had a problem, just make sure its well packaged, don't know about a full set though, you would be probably be better going with a courier.

I have used wiseloads couriers a few times, They do next day delivery with up to 20 kilos for €12.10. They will also collect the package from you. Havent had a problem sending sets of irons in the past and recently had a driver collected at 3pm in Dublin and delivered to Cork at lunch time the next day.

On posting clubs - how do you deal with payment ?
I mean can you do cash on delivery or is it a case that the buyer has to pay up first and trust you to send the club ?

I've only done it once. Buyer pays, you send. I assume that's how most would do it - similar to how ebay works. Set up a Paypal account to receive the money transfer. You can then move the money to your own bank account.

Cheers for that. I've used paypal to send money but never receive.
Is it easy ? Cost much ?

    thanks

Yeah it's really easy. Just give the buyer your paypal account name(email address) and they transfer the money. Obviously they need to be set up with paypal too.

They charge 3.4% plus €0.35 when you receive money. Possibly worth baring that in mind when agreeing a price with your buyer.
