MONDEO TDDI NIGHTMARE!

PURCHASED A 2002 MONDEO TDDI OFF A SOURCE THAT I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT NOT TO BE RELIABLE.( I GOT DONE.)

Anyway im stuck with the car now. The car is 100% Mechanically.
My problem is when I attempt to start the car after a decent drive (hot) the car will start however there is no throttle response and the battery light stays on. Alternator is fine. I noticed that when i unplugged engine coolant temp sensor it starts when hot. Since I got the car she has a lack of power in low gears but seems fine driving at 60Mph+. Its also using more diesel than it should be.
So diagnostics showed up faulty coolant temp sensor replaced no difference but ford lad told me when sensor is left out of engine it does what it should be but not when its replaced back onto head gasket.

So his conclussion was possible PCM fault. Their could be a corrupt signal coming from a cable or faulty pcm unit itself.

Im wondering is there a test for a PCM unit??? Or remanufacturing of units in ireland? Is damaged wiring likely to be a culprit???

    Any advice grealy appreciated!

    105000 miles on clock.

That post is a bit unclear.
1)Is he getting a reading from the temperature sensor?
2)Does it change as it heats up?
3)Did he try this on a data logger system?

If he is getting no readings at all it could be a break in the temperature sensor wires. Brown and white is the earth and white and violet goes back to the ECU in pin 14. Were they any other fault codes?

    Thanks for your reply.

Sorry about that was bit unclear. To be honest I dont know what he did. They ran full diagnostics apparently I dunno if thats same as data logger. I think any garage i brought it too dont wanna look at it. So Ill have a bash myself. I suspect damaged wiring or something not sure if it may be ecu?? I did trace some of the wiring for temp sens and continuity tested it .

    Where should I start looking?

Car fails to start when hot if temp sensor is plugged in but starts fine when plugged out.

Has low power in low gears at all times. Especially if you try a hill incline.

Power driving in fourth or fifth seems fine.

    Not enough power for overtaking.

Consuming more diesel than it should.

    Runs rough at idling.

That i think is all info i have at moment.

    Thanks again.

That car has been doing the rounds around garages for a while. Most mechanics were blaming the injector pump.I know of the car through hearing about it before it was sold to the lad in ballina. It was sold for something like 700 or 800 then.
