How do you get a job in the UCC I.T centres?

    There were applications for a work-placement with the Student IT Helpdesk this year but deadline was last June! So currently there are vacancies unless you go through publicjobs.ie would you be likely to get a job in an IT Centre in UCC now if they had it listed as a job on publicjobs.ie website other than that, sorry to say there are actually currently NO Vacancies at the moment in the IT Centres!

    The deadline for applying for those IT Centre Jobs - IT Student Personnel job was the end of June, interviews in August. I heard there were a lot of applicants this year so not everyone got a role there. So maybe try applying next June. There is a high demand for these roles so just go to the interview prepared! So best to get your application in early around June when they update the year on the application form.

    You can download the application, print it, fill it out, post it or scan it and email it then. You can get to download the application from the SIT website site - IT Helpdesk and Jobs section, you can click on the link for the IT Personnel Role, gives details of the role and you get a PDF file at the end of the page and download it from there. You can have a look at the most recent form so you know what you need to fill out for next year. Just that you can't really fill out the form until they update the year on the form!
