Don't worry about it at the moment. The day before your first day is when to check your timetable. It could change so many times between now, then and even after.

On the bottom right it says the weeks you will be doing each thing for

Now this is purely my own speculation, because like you and everyone else I am very confused after seeing my timetable, but on the days when you have 3 things at the same time, are at least 2 of those things in a different slot on the same day? Because I think that if that's the case, you have to go to each of those things on the same day, but you get to choose which of the times you want to attend. For my course (Accounting & Finance), I have French and Introduction to Economics between 10 and 11 on a Monday. Between 11 and 12 the same day, both of these are present again, however both have different room codes to the ones an hour earlier. These subjects are on the same day again between 2 and 3, and again are in different rooms to each of the other lectures. Throughout the day, I have various other lectures, some of which are repeated at later times. My guess is that you have to go to one lecture for each of the listed subjects each day, and the times at which you go to them are up to you.

Are you doing actuarial maths...because I am and my timetable is like that too! I was thinking its maybe because that timetable is for both the actuarial maths class and the common entry one...but that's just a guess!

if its a big class your going to be separated into more than one group for some things, then different groups will take things at different times.

Three things at the same time means that the class is big and split into 3 groups.

You can see the difference in classes using the color codes at the top.
    eg: Lecture = pink.. etc..

Room location is on the right of the box: Q205 (Second Floor, Nursing building), CG05 (Ground floor, Henry Gratton building)

Bottom right: 1-12 or 2-12 shows the weeks that the lectures are on. First week to last week. Any number missing means no classes.

On the left and bottom left, is the lecturers name and the module code.

Has anyone else's timetable changed completely overnight? Mine looks a lot less confusing than it did before. I only hope they change my Tuesdays a little because if they don't I'll be in from 9 until 6.

dont worry about it, its only a draft you wont have two class's at the same time, it gets sorted closer to the start date it will change loads before you even start and then some more when you do start !;)

Same... mines changed a bit. still don't follow it, but I notice my Tuesdays are longer too.

17:30 finish and I think I was due to be finished at 15:30

Erm..... I reckon there'll be more changes.

9 to 6 straight? Don't worry about that, you're entitled to at least an hours break. It'll change again.

Anybody know when you're told which group you're in? Some of the lectures on my timetable are broken into groups, I think. Some have things like L1/01 and L2/01 on them.

When the lecturer decides to tell you.
Unless the lecturer thinks it's up to someone else and never bothers, then you just show up to whichever one isn't at 9AM until she realises the mix-up.

You'll get an email either before term starts, or just after, or it'll be mentioned in a lecture.
Best bet is to email the lecturer about it, say you need to know asap for work, or whatever. :)

Dont bother contact anyone. You will find out soon enough. Dont get stressed over a few mixed up classes.

Well thing is they wont sort anything out until the first week. You will have to ask the lecturers about the class times.

What groups your in for class depends on how many are in the class, and you won't know where the split happens alphabetically until everyone's registered and lecturers get the class lists. If the first letter of your last name is near the start or end of the alphabet its easier to assume you'll be in group 1 or 2.
