What are my chances of boardsie jersey sightings at this year's Into The West?
    Anyone on here doing it?

Well, didn't see any boards jerseys. 200 cyclists split into 4 groups for 150km from Mullingar to Galway. Well marshaled, lots of grub where required, and plenty support vehicles. The weather gods played havoc though, and the journey to Galway was into the teeth of a gale for the most part. They should have called this years event Into The Wind.
The return journey was cancelled due to dangerous crosswinds. Cue rubgy, pints and a coach journey back to Mullingar.
I'd have been happy enough going out to do the return, but I can fully understand the cancellation. With that wind you'd have been guaranteed at least one crash in a group that large. Not worth it.
