Hi there, does anyone know how long its taking to process to FIS claims?

I was told by a friend that it took 9 weeks for her renewal, just wondering how long for a complete new claim.

    Thanks.

I needed to ring them a few days ago and before you get to speak to someone there is an automated message saying that applications are taking approximately 15 weeks to deal with.

I applied in April(end of) recieved a confirmation letter on the 13th May and are still waiting a response. I called them about 5 weeks ago to be told I would not be processed until the next 6 to 8 weeks and thats before getting a letter of response.

Does anybody know how long I should expect to wait for arrears to be paid for FIS?

I received letter dated 12th Feb (after applying 2wks earlier, very pleased with the response time btw) which said I'd been awarded FIS from 6th Feb, first payment due on 20th Feb, and 'any arrears to issue shortly after'.

I received the weekly payment on 20th Feb as promised, but have yet to be paid the 2 weeks arrears.

Can anybody advise how long the arrears should take to be paid? I have tried to call the FIS section a few times, but can never get through (15-20 mins on hold, then the call drops), and they have not responded to the email I sent last Friday either..... Thanks in advance.

I might try that tomorrow morning, thanks. Good idea! Hard to believe they are so behind with paying out arrears. 16weeks!!! I was actually fairly impressed with the time taken to sort out the weekly payment, to be fair. At least that was sorted quickly and I know that I will get the arrears eventually!

Did it take long to get the arrears in the end?
