Driving test cancelled by RSA

So I should be all geared up today to do my driving test this afternoon, but yesterday evening I got a call from the RSA to say that the tester who was supposed to be doing my test suffered a bereavement and has to attend a funeral. This is fair enough, I completely understand. But then I was told that they'll get on to me at a later date with a new test date and time, with no indication of how long this should take or when I should expect to do my test. Should I ring them back and press the issue? I'm going back to college in just under 2 weeks and I really hoped to have my test done by then, if not then I want the soonest available date and I'm not sure that I'll get it! Anybody else been through something similar?

Give them a ring and explain what happened and see if there are any updates.
They're usually quite reasonable and will probably facilitate you as best as they can.
If you're going back to college, perhaps you should just offer to take any slot available. There's always someone who has cancelled for one reason or another.

In general, I find most of these organisations are reasonable enough to chat to if you get speaking to someone. The main thing is to actually pick up the phone and ring someone as the automated processes you go through online can be rather inflexible.

Yes call them. Recently I'd a pupil whose test was cancelled by the RSA by accident. She got a cancellation for the same afternoon.

    Don't panic ;)

Rang the RSA and got a new appointment for Monday afternoon :) Thanks for the advice!
