Hey so im hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Basically im looking to get my GF some sort of cooking equipment that is excellent quality and looks the biz too. Maybe a griddle pan, or a nice knife set. Gotta be top of the range though. Any online places i could go? Or even shops around Dublin?

    Cheers in advance.

Someone here mentioned recently that they got a nice Wusthof knife and block set at Brown Thomas recently for €200. Good quality at a good price and they'll last (literally) for ever.

Twas me. The Wusthof knife sets in BT are great value - quite literally cheaper than online. And they are SHARP!

When you got them in BT were you allowed to take them out and try them? I'd hate spend that much money and not find the handles comfortable.
Oh and btw why are you selling some of the knives you bought? :)

Stock Shop on King St and Kitchen Compliments on Chatham St are very good. They have a great selection of cookware, knives, everything you could think of really.

Le Crueset set would be nice - they also have a lifetime guarantee. http://www.lecreuset.com/

They were in a locked cabinet but no problem getting it unlocked and 'having a go'.

I'm only selling one of the actual knives - don't need two parers TBH! The block and came with the set and I don't need them!
