This will be my last post as i questioned why a thread was locked and without any sadisfactory explanation i found that my thread was terminated.
I believe in free comment and the educational value of people with different opinions than my own.
I'M AFRAID THE BAN IS STILL IN PLACE.

    Many thanks

Why kick up a fuss? What's done is done, just leave it and get on with it

What you believe is totally irrelevant. Your posts were not about GAA. Have a look at the forum name. Get over it.

These are the forum rules perhaps you should familiarise yourself with them
Welcome to the boards.ie GAA forum. While we hope you enjoy your time here, we have the following rules that all posters must adhere to.

    The Golden Rule:
    There is no free speech!
This is a privately owned website. You do not have the right to say whatever you want on here. You are expected to obey the rules just like anyone else. Not following the rules will get you banned. It is very simple. You are allowed to discuss anything as long as it doesn't break the following rules.

    Abuse - boards members
Personal abuse of other posters is strictly prohibited, and will incur a minimum 1-week ban for first time offenders. There is no argument on this one. Abuse someone and you will be banned. Multiple offenders will be permanently banned from the forum. The GAA mods reserve the right to increase the length of the ban as we see fit based on the severity of the post.
Don't attack the poster, attack the post.

Abuse – GAA players, officials, employees, pundits etc
Same rules apply as above – minimum 1-week bans will be given for personally abusing anybody connected with the GAA, from players to pundits. The GAA mods reserve the right to increase the length of the ban as we see fit based on the severity of the post.

    Accusations, Speculation and Rumours
The GAA moderators are taking a zero-tolerance policy on this issue. While many posters think they are ‘in-the-know’, do NOT post any wild accusations about any GAA players or officials unless you provide an online source/link to back up your claim. This is a bannable offence and the GAA mods will edit or delete said posts until a source has been given.

    Advertising
Thread/posts that contain advertising will be both edited and locked. Members can PM the GAA mods if they wish to make special request, such as GAA fundraising activities. We also have a club advertising thread if you wish to advertise your club there.
If you wish to buy advert space, contact hello@boards.ie .

    Arguing with a Moderator
Do not argue with a moderator in a thread after they have given a warning or a ban etc. If you have an issue with a moderator's action then PM the mod in question. They will discuss it with you. You can then, if unsatisfied with the PM route, take things to Dispute Resolution Forum.

    Back-seat Modding
If you have a problem with a post, use the report post function. Posters who repeatedly back-seat mod will be banned.

    General Posting Guidelines
Please navigate around the forums before starting a new thread. Use the search function if you think something may have been posted before.
Before you post a thread, consider the following:
    - Is what I'm about to post relevant, coherent and funny or in any way interesting?
    - Does it add to the forum or is it another thread which is taking up space?
    - Has it been posted before?
    - Is it suitable for this forum?
Your threads and posts should be well thought out and coherent. This isn't AOL, there is no need for txt/leet speak or excessive punctuation. If in doubt, use a spell checker before you post. Meaningful threads add to the community. Always try to stay on-topic and contribute to a thread. Moderators are also there to help you if you have any issues or if you have any queries.

    Off Topic
Threads that stray off topic will be edited/deleted, depending on their relevance to the topic at hand. People who ignore a moderator's request to stay on topic will be banned for a week.

    Other Sports Threads
We have different forums for different sports. Posting about other sports here just because you don't have access to the other forums will result in the thread being locked and the user possibly being banned.

    Phone numbers
Do NOT post personal phone numbers of either yourself or anybody else. If you wish to give contact details of physios, club contacts etc do so via PM.

    Pointless Threads and Polls
Posting any pointless thread or poll will result in the thread being locked. You can be banned for this. Think before you post. If you don't have anything to say then don't bother posting a new thread. Please try to comment as much as you can on any threads you create. If you create a thread in which you ask people to contribute in, contribute first.

    Politics
We have a politics forum. Use it.

    Post formatting
Do NOT post in txtspk. It’s horrible to read and you have a full keyboard so you may as well use it. Posts should only be in regular size, black font. Posts in different colours or large text will be edited.

    Racism
Severe bans will be handed out for posters who make racist remarks on the forum, and the posts will be edited and deleted accordingly.

Registering a New Account to Circumvent a Ban
This will get all accounts site-banned.

    Spamming
Posts that are just complete nonsense will be deleted. You do not need to post threads in multiple forums – this is a site-bannable offense.

    Spoilers
Do not post the winner of a game in a thread title straight after a match. You can discuss the match result in the game’s thread, and only after the games highlights is shown on the Sunday Game can the match winner be made known in future thread titles.

    Ticket buying/selling/exchanging
Starting threads looking to buy, sell or exchange tickets for matches is strictly prohibited. You can use the tickets section on adverts.ie

    Trolling
Posting controversial threads or posts with the sole intention of getting a rise out of people is a 7 day bannable offense. Don't do it.

I could issue disciplinary action against you, but I'll take it you're new here and have not read the forum charter above.

I'm locking this thread as it is irrelevant to the GAA forum.
