    Hello Everyone!

It was mentioned in quite an old thread about Computer Science that CS students have access to MSDNAA and therefore lots of free software. The thread I am referring to is here. This is mentioned here as well as in other places.

I am a second year Computer Science student. Does anyone know if I can access this and if yes...how.

    Thanks!!

You should have access to it. Have you tried contacting the computer centre or Tech Support in CS?

    Thanks for the quick reply!
How do I know my username? Is it just my CS username? If that is the case neither my unix or windows password is working.

I have not contacted anyone about this.

I'd imagine it's your student number. Password might be your PIN but it could be something else altogether too! Sorry.

Tech Support in BIS normally sort this out for my students. I presume someone in CS will know how it works for you guys.

Thanks for your help! I'll try that!

Hopefully someone around here will know but I might try contacting someone tomorrow.

Edit: My student number and PIN (or Ucc*PIN) didnt work.

Hey, I'm going into third year, think I can help ya here. If you go to your squirrelmail and do a search for "MSDN" you should find the email that has your details! The password and username are unrelated to your UCC details.

what :O how do ye set that up? I can't seem to be able to forward my squirrelmail? Check your umail for MSDN so, I just checked my own email and we definitely got it with our username and password.

Create a file called .forward in your home dir and stick whatever email address you want it to be forwarded to in there
