hi just need help on opening my gun .. to get to the gears and hop up i read over the manual and it said i had to screw out a bolt(nail etc)just as the barrel protrudes from the main shell of the gun

problem : i cant screw it out because its flat and so i would need groves on it to screw it out doesent make sense but after that the manuals very clear .

heres a pic please help me ,the nut (nail or bolt is located just above the aps logo images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTI7Ul1FseeYJZIS1ylaTOiC_H_1q-K9MIUr4cV1Z88IfzlccJgVQ

and one last question on the other side of the gun theres these two buttons ones the mag release and the others ? it clicks in and out though its almost hypnotic but i gotta stop doin it before i break something .

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR8QARdkg8xKgOn42SEsL9eK_oNHZhqMuzaFXEJLHzKMvHONsVflocated at north of piston grip . help me .

Are you sure you're confident enough to take open the gearbox? I'm not being bad, but you can't figure out how to split recievers, is opening the gearbox really wise?

Why do you want to open it? Is there a fault? Or are you just curious?

Sorry but I can't really understand this thread...

    1. When you mean the bolt/nail above the A.P.S. logo = Front receiver pin.
    2. Wait... (Picks up A.P.S. ASR103)... Either one of the buttons is the unjam button (which does nothing), the rear receiver pin or the circle "thing" around the safe, semi and auto (It should have a slash on it btw).

    And that's pretty much it.

Also, same as Leftyflip and you asking me before about how I got the rubber bit off so you could disconnect the connectors, why do you want to open your AEG?

Do you mean that flat little paddle shaped leaver above and slightly to the right of the APS logo?

    - It's the bolt release.

lads no need for the critiscim . im opening it up as im curious and i never done it before my aeg just hit the 15000 bb mark so i was going to clean and oil it . but i cant open it as still dont know how to remove the front reciever pin ,, .

and the thing i keep messing with on my gun is on both sides if you push it in or click it on one side it will appear on the other .(its not the mag release button as im not that stupid)but its like that but more towards my stock .

We're not criticising you. But if you really want to know.
The front reciever pin pushes out, just push it.

To disassemble it you will need a set of allen keys (including one very long one for the stock tube. A set of pin punches, a snipe nose pliers, a Philips srewdriver and a small flat head screw driver. Don't use cheap sh*te tools, only use good quality ones otherwise you run the risk of rounding off screw heads and damaging the gun or yourself.

Be warned though - by opening the AEG you will void your warranty and could cause damage to the internals.

And thats one of the pins I would imagine. Are you sure you know what to do?

just to be on the safe side you should probably ask a retailer to do all that stuff for you 1 mistake and your gun is f#cked but if your doing it yourself be very careful

Sorry, I was on about the right side of the airsoft rifle.

Don't forget that you have to cut a bit of the rubber off the connectors so you can disconnect them.

If its your most precious rifle then spending a few pound on getting it done properly can be justified.

The batteries connectors? Um, I pretty sure it the fuse connectors or something around that.

One wire should go into the fuse box where it connects up with the fuse and then comes out the other side which goes to the small male connector. The other wire goes straight to the small male connector which you then connect the battery.

As for the front receiver pin, my came out like a breeze. All I did is bang it out from the left side of the body, and I came out the right side. Simple.

But as Stromxv1, leave it. Bring it to someone who knows how to disassemble one.

I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU DISASSEMBLE YOUR AIRSOFT DEVICE. DOING SO, YOU MAY DECREASE THE PERFORMANCE OF IT, DAMAGE IT, OR EVEN BRAKE IT.

Well, if it's your first time taking out the front receiver, it will be very stiff, you should use something hard but it won't break something easily, I'd suggest a rubber mallet. If you are still worried, use something that has a blunt head like a puncher, place it on the front receiver pin, and them bang it out.

Once you bang on the front receiver from the left side of the body, it should come out from the right side. After that, you can just push it out with your thumb from the left side, or pull it out from the right side, as it won't be stiff any more.

    Hope this helps.
