    Hey all,
I dont know if this has been covered here before and if it has maybe somebody could point me in the direction but anyway my problem is lots of what i believe are called suncream marks on the paintwork of my car.
Just wondering if anybody else has come across this problem and how it can be sorted without having to spend a fortune.
    Thanks for any help

Is it actually suncream or you reckon thats what the type of marks are known as(but not really suncream)?

had a quick google and it seems thats what they are known as plus the fact that they are the same size as my kids fingers! my 3 yr old was always messing at the drivers door and petrol cap and thats where the marks are worst

Whatever they are anyways doesnt really matter, try a bit of rubbing/cutting compound, gently work the marks with a dab of it & a cloth.

TurtleWax SafeCut will get it out. It's normally for light scratches but it will also take out sunscreen.

Hate it! yeah a T cut/ turtle wax safecut type thing is what you need, and some spare time and elbow grease.

On my passat there are LOADS of marks like that but it's a battered old workhorse so i don't care but on anything tidy and shiny i have or anything i'm selling i hate those stupid marks. They're not just sunscreen marks but they can sure be caused by it.

Speakin of marks though a lovely young lady who would never normally damage things has managed to deface the interior of the car by touching some plastic bits on the dash around the fan switches and touching the ashtray which you have to press to pop out, and whatever was on her hands has actually left white marks "bleached" into it.... how this stuff can do that to plastic and be ok on her face/hands (assume it was some kind of makeup/fake tan) and manage to mark plastic i don't know. can't be good for her
