ideas for old tshirts

i have loads of old thirts in my wardrobe and wanted to change them into tank tops and such, anyone got any unusual /alternative ideas for them??

Ooh, I've come across loads of ideas for "repurposing" t-shirts!!

Make a shrug
Add some flowers
Add pleats
Add a pretty collar
Turn it into a strapless top
Add cute sleeve details
make a bag
Make a scarf/neckpiece
Halter neck
Anthropologie inspired refashion
Make a dress
Turn it into a vest (this one is my favourite yet, I think its the stripes!)
A skirt
decorate a plain tee
make a loose tank top
A pillow
add ruffles to the sleeves
add a spiral trim

I personally make them into band tops. What I do is:
1. Draw out a design using a sharpie on a large sheet of paper
2. Get a boxylightthingy - I can't really describe it, it's like 3 pieces of plastic made into a sort of \__/ shape, just the other way around and a light in the middle that makes it easier to see through material - then draw around the outline so very carefully. I've messed up many a top.
Ofc you can do this with any logo

This is a really useful thread! I was just going to post a topic asking about customisation, if anyone has come across Youtube tutorials or interesting blog posts about how to redesign tired old clothes into something completely new...

I found most of those links through Pinterest.com, on their DIY section just search by topic. You can also check out Instructables.com, or Burdastyle.com for free patterns and tutorials, but that tends to have more complicated projects.
