Screen Turns white..???

    I have an Advent Modena M202 Red. In the last week when using the laptop the screen has started to slowly turn white. Imagine: Say im using the laptop surfing or whatever and all of a sudden it freezes and gradually the screen starts to turn white till all is white, its a bit like some one is messing with the contrast or something that kinda a grainy white.. But i did lose it with it and gave it a slap in the front left corner say just below the windows key when this happened and it snapped out of it and returned to normal and has been the solution to the problem ever since.. Has anybody come across such an issue and shoud i keep going and leave it as it is or get it repaired before problem increases if it will at all ? Thank in advance
