Does anyone know anywhere in Dublin I might get a proper sleeve for a 11 inch MacBook Air? Tried everywhere today and nothing. I thought compub would have them but their selection was pretty poor. Glorified leather envelopes with zero protection for the most part. And PCWorld pointed me toward the netbook sleeves that don't fit.

Did you try Right-Click on Dawson St.? When I was looking for a shell for my new MBP they were the only ones that stocked it.

    No, but I will. Cheers.

Is there anywhere else? I really thought I’d have no problem getting one today. So much for Mac gear being ubiquitous.

I can't think of anywhere else. Do you know what exactly you are looking for?

Of the online retailers GearZap.com carries the widest range.

Just a proper sleeve (not a shell) with some padding designed for the Air. I'd make do with anything at this stage. I need it for next week or else I'd have ordered it online. But I think I'm out of luck so I'll probably have to do that. I might order "The Gimp" from Crumpler. I'll have to use my 13" sleeve until then.

Is the Gimp not a padded shell or is it different for the Air?

I remember being in a meeting with a guy who had a Gimp case on his MBP and there were straps over the corners of the screen which I found a bit mad.

Yeah, the larger ones are padded shells, but the one for the 11 inch is just a sleeve. It seems to be fairly new.

Do you like the tucano second skin range? I picked up one in harvey normans for mine, it's a standard neoprene & zip sleeve. I agree they're ridiculously hard to find here!

I'll be popping into Right Click at lunch to see if i can pick up the same.

i'll report back if i manage to find something decent.

I ordered from Crumpler's EU store on Friday and it arrived this morning just before I left the house. Can't argue with service like that. :)

Too late, but nothing in Right Click that is suitable.
