What are peoples previous experiences of solicitors fees?

I have to get some legal advice (non property related) and have been quoted €200 per hour + €100 for additional paralegal (ie secretary)

    Is this rate normal?

ps no need to mention names or companies btw...

€200 an hour would be reasonable for an experienced solicitor who knows his/her job, and thus would not spend time finding out the law and procedure at your expense.

"paralegal" can mean anything and I would not commit to paying for paralegal services without an explanation of what it involved.

Thanks nuac - sound advice. As far as I am aware the solicitor is a good one and knows their stuff. Will ask for a breakdown regarding paralegal costs

    Thankyou
