Declaration of Oath - Car Ownership

Hi, I sold a car two month's ago and long story short I left the logbook with the new owner (first time selling car, noob mistake I know) and to my surprise he has not changed the registered owner to he's name.

I've been receiving eFlow bills since then, so many that I've lost count and was advised to get a declaration of oath signed and I did (about two weeks ago) but I'm still receiving bills, more so warning letters at this stage :(

When should I expect my name to be removed from the logbook roughly? I'm actually getting worried now about the likes of court and what not from this issue and really don't know how I'm going to sort it if the above does not work. Thank you for you time.

You've learned the hard way that you never trust the person to change the ownership of a car. If you sell a car ALWAYS hang onto the registration cert and send it on yourself.

If you call the Vehicle Registration Office (Dept. of Environment & Local Gov't), in Shannon they'll tell you what you can do.
