Folks, the battery went in the missus Ibiza, no code for radio, went to local dealer and he wanted 78quid to unlock it, have tried online to get the code but no joy, anyone any ideas where I might get sorted?? Or would it be cheaper to try breakers yards for another radio. It's an 05 Ibiza with alana mp3 radio

Have you got the owners manual? There was a card with a code with a Leon I had, also a sticker inside the serivice book.

Then there's the old "0000" or "1234" that are always worth a shot:)

Might be worth popping the radio out and checking for a sticker. Otherwise afaik it may need to be hooked up to a computer to reset the code. It does on the Leon anyway.

Have you tried asking a SEAT dealer for the code?

I had the same problem with a Peugeot a few years back and my local Peugeot dealer just gave me the code from their computer

Popped it out, only the serial number on it. Probably be cheaper to buy another one.
