Anyone know if Kwa have any official parts maker that do upgrade for KWA guns? I know Evike do some things but not much.

What are you looking for? The only things that aren't standard are the gearbox shells, air nozzles and hop chambers, if I remember right, all other parts are interchangeable.

Just bring lazy, I want a 1 stop shop that I can get upgrades that will definitely work with my gun! All the different type parts and variations can get a bit confusing, I'm new to proper airsoft guns! And want to build the best KWA M4 I can do! All parts are relativity inexpensive and I just want to buy things happily knowing they'd fit ok!

As I said the only proprietary parts are the air nozzle, hop chamber and shell it's self - everything else can be swapped and changed!

In my own opinion you dont need to upgrade it especially kwa 2gx gearbox, you dont need to shim it, quality of the internals is great, 6.05 barrel as standard, the hop up chamber is a two piece plastic set up but it does the job very well, the hop-up rubber itself is like the vsr v shape so it hits the bb at two points for even more backspin, it is lipo rated out of the box but only use a 7.4 for it here, you could only use the 11.1 where the limit is higher than 328fps and a larger spring like an m120 is required!

Piston and hop are crap in my experience as is the cylinder head. Piston shreds very easily compared to guns in the same (and cheaper) price brackets). The hop rubber is too hard for the 1 joule limit and changing it to a Guarder clear, Madbull blue or Modify bucking is a far better way to go. The sorbo pad on the cylinder head disintergrates fairly quickly and finds its was all over the gearbox (poxy nightmare to clean).

Gears are good though. Just make sure it's not "vented" if there is a hole in the cylinder (that shouldn't be there) get it replaced. What you have is a gun firing at circa 280-300fps, with a spring rated for up to 400fps. Which will cause the shell to crack. If you've ever tried getting spares from KWA, you'll know what they're like.

But for those of you who don't - hit yourself on the head with a lump hammer and down a bottle of rum, then try walking, you probably can't. Trying to explain to KWA why you don't want to pay with a credit card over the phone and why you need spares is bloody ridiculous.

Two buddies of mine have one each and having nothing but praises for it was there when he stripped it down and twas perfect they have them a good bit now completely stock although i think one of them shimmed the sector gear, my one will be here shortly cant wait for it. I tend to research the balls out of what i want to buy whether its gear pistols or rifles and quite happy with the reviews its got both internally and external. As for the hop chamber and rubber found it did the job, good range, although it is a pity you cant change the chamber with a different one. Like you said most parts are interchangeble particulary the parts that are likely to go first so at least you have that option.

Are the madbull or guarder rubbers a tight fit in the chamber? Ive read reviews that say that the stock rubber is slightly narrower than after market ones?

The Madbull blue is a bollox to fit in most chambers, having said that it really ups the FPS. THe Guarder clear is an easier fit, one thing I reccomend for it though is silicone oil - lube fixes everything.

God, have this gun a few months now, bought it off boards with little use! ITS CLASS!!! Just want to make it as good as I can have it, I do this with everything I can! Like having something good!
And I did the research before and I heard nothing bad about them! Reason I have it! :D
Have it externally the way I want it, (this is always subject to change) :D But i'm quite happy with it, I'm looking to increase the range and accuracy with a longer tightbore (from 396mm to 550mm into the silencer), and upgrading 1 or 2 internals, I want a balanced gun!
