Fianna Fail anger at By-election announcement

Did I hear correctly that FF were angered by Enda Kenny announcing the date for the Dublin West by-election. Bit rich of them getting upset, as this is the same party that delayed and delayed until effectively ordered by the courts to announce the Donegal by-election less than a year ago. Maybe EK was worried that FF would try and hold off (what will likely be another defeat) until...well not really sure, looking at the FF program on TV3 the other day, likely to never be a recovery!

I think it's generally left to the party of the deceased TD to announce the by-election and that's what their issue is.

I think that's pretty far from the truth now!

and if it were up to them the seat would be left empty til 2016

Such nonsense, just makes it look like it is still party before people with FF.

They don't want it soon because they know they will lose. It suits FG to have it as they are still high in opinion polls.

FF would love to wait until after the budget to have it but idiotic to actually make a statement basically saying, would you not wait until we can properly contest the seat and feck the people which is how this reads to me.

Does anyone care what FF think any more?

I hope they don't even bother fielding a candidate for this bye election, but they probably will, due to their inbred sense of entitlement.

Sorry to disappoint, but we will be fielding a candidate - nominations closed for the convention today (there are five nominees).

Selection convention is this coming Tuesday evening.

No worries - we're well used to it....but since that's the first apology for anything that I've heard from FF, I'll be gracious.

FF throw a hissy fit over this on the same day that nearly 600 jobs go in Waterford.

    Priorities have not changed!

    I feel ashamed for them!

These being the same voters that elected FF in during the 2007 elections?

The very same, the majority of whom eventually came to their senses

This is, as I said, due to their inbred sense of entitlement. I'm not disappointed, its just sad that a traitor FF'er will get votes.
