you can, but i reckon the job it does is questionable.

Midnight_EG on here recently used autosol metal polish on his faded lamps and the results looked excellent. its not greatly expensive and is what i believe a permanent finish. you'd probably pick it up in most good hardward places for a couple of quid.

edit : the fecker beat me to it :P

Autoglym Tar Remover will get rid of it, helped a lot on mine...I took my eyebrows off to reseal them and cleaned the tops up a bit with the Autoglym stuff, came out brilliant

Hey midnight quick question, it didnt effect or damage the horizontal lines running across the glass then? Im thinking of doing the same & just want to be sure. The lines on mine are kinda raised off the surface as opposed to being in the glass.

Autosol ftw, great stuff, it cleans everything!
or T-cut metal polish, seems to be slightly more abrasive than the autosol.

Or, if you're bored and have some spare time you can do what this guy did, on an ae111 too ;)

This is a link to an owners forum, wanted to pm a mod first but I dont see any online right now. apologies if there's a problem

if you cant get Autoglym Tar Removera cheaper way to do it is use petrol. i use it all the time in work removes glue from stickers and tar so it should do the trick. ya mite have to polish and body parts in comes into contact with as it dulls the paint work a little.

What's the best way to remove those toll tag holders from a windcreen WITHOUT tearing up the rain sensor strips?

....and, when you get them shiney, use Plexus plastic polish. Works great on motorcycle windscreen's as well.

I actually find T-Cut does the job. Mine lasted about a year with it and then I just applied some again.

    Hi Kaiser2000,

I don’t know whether your toll tag is an eFlow one, but here are instructions on how to remove an item attached with 3M adhesive.

I am a bit confused! Are you people talking about yellowing / fading of the plastic cover on the lights or the shiny metallic reflector inside the plastic cover ?
