I've a Hercuules 30b stove for the last 3 yrs and am very happy with it, was told it was bulletproof. Then last week I discover a hairline crack on the top of it 15cm long from the flue twds the front. Has anyone had this trouble? A new top is available I'm informed at €230 as guarantee lasts only 2yrs. Will also need new…

I've a Hercuules 30b stove for the last 3 yrs and am very happy with it, was told it was bulletproof. Then last week I discover a hairline crack on the top of it 15cm long from the flue twds the front. Has anyone had this trouble? A new top is available I'm informed at €230 as guarantee lasts only 2yrs. Will also need new cement and rope to re-seal flue. I only burn turf/ logs in it, never coals. Anyone help? Also whats the best way to keep the door glass from 'sooting up'?
