anyone recomend where to get quality underware for a decent price... paying 25euro for 3 pairs of briefs in the likes of M&S seems a bit excessive....

You can have cheap or you can have quality. I've yet to find anywhere that does both.

There is a growing trend with this recession, more & more people have become involved in 'snowdropping' which involves sneaking around jumping over fences garden to garden, robbing underwear from the line!

I agree with ya OP, paying €20 - €25 for 3 pairs of boxers drives me mad. Will keep an eye on this thread and see if there are any suggestions!

Often has offers and discounts, especially on multipacks.

I went to America a few times and have always found American Eagle underwear to be exceptional, though the sizing is a little big. Medium means large! Some colourful designs and they wash very well. They have a whole variety of colours, sizes and styles but I think they tend to keep to boxer/boxer briefs.

AFAIK, they ship to Ireland because you can select (Ireland;Euro) on their website

That doesn't work out any cheaper than what the OP mentioned.

I don't think it's realistic to expect both quality and cost-effectiveness, especially when internet shopping. When you include the handling and shipping, paired with the wait to get your items and the chance of knock off fakes, you would be quicker to just trawl through twenty high street chains for a bargain.

As I said, I invested in some which are still almost as good as new, If you want quality, you need to invest. If you're after a bargain, Penneys, Tesco, Dunnes Stores, M&S.... they are all in the same ballpark but the quality is going to suffer, the lower the price.

As a side, I took the OP's topic title to mean 'cheapest good quality', not 'cheapest quality'

The Calvin Klein underwear store in Kildare Village is a good spot for the genuine article.
