    Hi,

I am thinking of doing the Music Technology course in Tralee next year. If anybody has done this course or is currently doing it would they let me know:

-what you do during the course?(what is invloved each semester etc.?)
-is it just sound or is there other aspects of the course?
    -the hours each week?
-what is campus like?(is it expensive etc.?)
-what is the night life like?
-what are my options for work in the future and has anyone got a job from the course
-any other info about the course.

I would be greatful if anybody could reply with any infomation or advice

    Thanks ;)

There is currently a request thread open for a dedicated IT Tralee forum. If you could post in that and give us a plus one then the ITT would have its own forum where you would be guaranteed to get an answer.

Just click on this link and give us a plus 1

Anyway on to your questions. I'm doing Software Development myself but I have a friend doing Music Tech, he has completed 3rd year and is going into his final year. He has just finished his placement in a local theatre doing the sound production for the last few months. I do know that they have their own dedicated classrooms on the ground floor of the north campus. These include a recording booth for TV and Radio along with a dedicated Mac lab for sound editing. I had some common subjects with Music Tech in first year, just basic computing science classes, after that our paths diverge.

Most courses have 4 full days and finish before lunch on Friday. Friday evening is fairly handy to find a quiet lab if you have a project due, great time to get stuff done with no distractions.

Nightlife is fairly good, there's an event most weeks in Horans or on campus during the day. Check out the ITT students union page for an idea of what goes on.

by +1 the poster literally meant to just post the characters "+1" as a reply in the following thread so that the moderators can count it as a vote for an ITT forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=2056327502
