From Intershoot.co.uk (with thanks to demonloop):
    Intershoot Awards Programme 2011

Entries closed on 31st August, and the winners have been decided as detailed below.

There was a large number of applicants for both awards, which was very encouraging. Unfortunately several applications arrived after the closing date and were therefore not considered.

    AWARDS FOR 2011
Individual Award - Moore Gilpin, Comber Rifle Club
Club Award - Dublin University Rifle Club

    Intershoot Awards Programme 2012

Entries are now open for the 2012 Awards

The awards will have two categories-

    1) Individual Award - This annual award of £250 worth of equipment will be given to an individual shooter who has demonstrated a clear need for help to progress their shooting career. The winner will need to illustrate commitment to their chosen disclipline, and progress within at least a regional level. Letters of commendation from regional coaches, or someone of similar standing will add weight to an application. A timeline of scores and progress will also be required.

    2) Club Award - This annual award of £250 worth of equipment will be given to a club who demonstates a clear need for club equipment, where the club does not have enough 'pool' equipment to cover their needs. The club will have to illustrate their numbers, potential numbers and show good levels of competition success within their region, in spite of equipment shortages. Letters of commendation and recent successes will add weight to an application.

The awards will be at the complete discretion of Intershoot, there will be no appeals, requests to reconsider, or debate entered into. For either award, you may apply on behalf of someone else

All applications will be totally confidential, and will be required in writing - NOT EMAIL

The awards will be used against equipment sales, excluding firearms and ammunition. There is no cash alternative.

The closing date for 2012 applications will be 31st August 2012 and the winners will be notified by 30th September. Please send applications to our PO Box address on the contact page.

Congratulations to DURC and to Moore Gilpin from Comber Rifle Club!
