Just thought I would post this link for any of you who mightn't know what it is. Petrolheads from all around the country gather to do a drive around Ireland in aid of charity.

Looked at the list of cars going and looks like there will be some serious cars there. Its on this Friday and the group of cars usually leave Merrion Square around 9.45am. However cars start arriving around 8 ish in the morning...

For all you petrolheads heading into work on Friday morning, it might brighten up the day a little!

The list is endless, Ferrari 458, Audi R8, McClaren Mercedes etc etc

I'm going to head to Bunratty on Saturday as they'll be stopping there. There's an F40 listed as one of the cars attending! Worth going to see that alone

Some noise coming off that Ferrari I'd say... fabulous machine, mu eyes are on the 458!

Anyone know what time Sunday they will get in to Kilkenny. That is the only day I have available to see those. Their website is very poor for detail.

Wow that was some show lads! To all who will be seeing the cars over the coming days, you will not be disappointed! There were some unreal machines there today, the best possibly being the SLS, or the Ferrari 430 with tuned exhaust. Some noise outta that Ford GT too.

Thanks to all the drivers who planted their right foot as they left Merrion square.. :D

Do they have a noise and speed exemption for the run?

Just looked at the cannonball run ireland website lots of everything on it but nothing about the Laura Lynn donation. My friends and i took part in the first two cannoball runs and was a great event raising lots of money for great cause. We didnt take part after the second as we felt was more cannonball uk than cannonball ie such a shame ..
approx 130 cars @500euro for the named charity =65,000 euro.
auctions on nite and and cash collected from envelopes 20,000euro.
    excess money from sponshership 10,000.
total approx 90,000 to 100,000 euro for named charity.
Be great to see a great cause as Laura Lynn get this much needed donation and if not some very tough questions need asking and answering. Also as someone who took part in GT racing in europe for many years the level of stupid driving shown by mainly yellow plated cars needs to be tackled before this event puts another stastic on paper.I have nothing against fast safe driving as long as i dont infringe on other road users but dangerous driving is totally out place on public roads after all it is a CHARITY RUN or is it?????????????????????/
