    Hi,
Every year or so, I do a Java / Oracle/ IBM/ Whatever certification. They are great way of keeping skills up to speed. Usually, I buy the books do the study in my own time and then my employer pays for the exam. I am just wondering if your employer does not pay for the exam (usually about 250 quid) can you claim it back against tax?
    Thanks
