Trading of precious metals

    Is it easy to buy and trade in other precious metals, like rhodium and palladium?
    The only other precious metals ive seen regularly is platinum.

    We all know that gold values are getting ridiculous and what would happen if gold prices started to collapse. Would it be likely that other precious metals might be bought up instead.

    palladium and rhodium are alot rarer than gold and have better chemical properties than gold, so they should be valued at a higher value.
    Palladium has started to rise since 2008 however and is now valued at about 800dollars/ounce.

    Should I just buy gold like everyone else? even though my technical background tells me otherwise!
