I've applied to DKIT for a refund of my fees for last year (first year) at the advice of my VEC (the head of the VEC told me I wasn't entitled to a grant for last year, but it turns out I was). I got a letter saying I was entitled to it and handed it into the college about a fortnight ago, along with a letter from the same head of the VEC expressing urgency on the matter. The lady in admissions told me it could be late October before she even looks into my claim... Is there anything I can do to speed it up? I owe all of it out and then some on loans to cover me for last year (since I had no grant) and it would just make things a tad more comfortable. Anyone got experience with this?
