    Typically I shy away from those voucher things and such, but I was intruiged by this one;

    They have some decent deals as it is, like

    • 2 peppered Striploin for €7,
    • 2 high quality lamb shanks for €9
    • A large sample pack of 1 lb Sausages, 1 lb Rashers, 1 half Black Pud, 1. Half White Pud + 6 Eggs, 5 x Chicken Fillets, 1 lb Round Mince, 1 lb Diced Beef, 1 Large Whole Chicken, 1 lb Sirloin Steak, + Free Delivery for €42.

    But not only that, but they have a Living Social deal as well. As you guys know, if you refer with these guys, you get yours dealt with for free if you can recommend. If anyones interested, please use my link, and then post yours below :)

    I go to Johns quite often. Owner operated, great staff and the meat is great. If you're into getting an odd cut or offal he'll usually be able to sort you out. Johns a sound lad too ;)

    I thought as much. Will snip after this response. If not, I will get it back later on, I did try to find something in the rules but couldnt find one.

    Anyway, I do kind of agree that those two have placed a shadow on the others in the industry, but it is available till March 2011. There hasnt been a crazy uptake like the other two either thus far.

    Edit: thanks ch2008, you always feel better about a thing like this when someone says something as good as what you said :D

    Hi Lads,

    If you're looking for a deal on meat The Premium Butcher have a great deal going at the moment.

    http://www.thepremiumbutcher.ie/bundles/62-60-family-bundle.html

    BBQ bundle mightn't be the best idea with the weather at the moment but a great deal all the same.

    Has anyone bought and used the Johns Meat voucher? I tried to log on to their website today but it's suspended. Are they still in business? I can't travel to the shop as its too far so I will have to get a refund if I can't order online!

    Main page of website still up - and answers your question with a number to call: http://www.johnsmeatco.ie/

    "Through no fault of our own - our website is gone. Just like that.

    But we don't sit around y'know. We've taken the bold steps of engaging someone to build us a new website which we hope to have live and kicking in or around the 25th of November. In the meantime, we're taking all the usual orders by phone - 01 230 3602.

    By way of apology and a thanks-for-your-patience stick your email in the box and we'll send you something nice when we re-launch.

    I look forward to welcoming you back to the new and improved Johns Meat Co. very soon. "

    p.s. I first used Johns Meat co on the back of this deal and was really impressed by both the quality and value to be had. John himself is a sound bloke and has won me as a returning customer. Hopefully his website gets back up and working soon.

    Just want to up this again;

    I am a student, which meant that the voucher helped present value for money for me as of course, as a student, we never have money!
    I wanted to put on a Christmas dinner for myself and my friends before we all went home for the holidays.

    I purchased a Rolled and Boned Turkey, stuffed, as well as a bunch of vegetables and a few other pieces that I needed to make a Christmas dinner. I had a ham from elsewhere already.

    I have to say, the quality of the vegetables was excellent - all fresh and great quality. In particular the garlic and rosemary potatoes were extremely tasty.
    But the highlight was the turkey. This was my 4th Christmas dinner for cooking for my friends, and it was unquestionably the star of the meal. It is also the best piece of turkey I have ever cooked, and it was quite effortless due to the attention and care that the butcher who prepared it had given.

    Highly recommended.

    He had a very round about way of saying to you:

    "We deliver anywhere in Dublin. From Malahide to Bray and out as far as Cellbridge"
