    1. I am in Limerick city and need to get the tracking sorted on my wheels. Can anyone recommend a place that is both reasonable and good.
    2. My front tyres are wearing on the inside, dont know much about the whole tracking thing so do i need to get them balanced also. Or is it standard to do this when doing the tracking? Or is it actually the same thing perhaps?
3.Also want to get the back wheels checked. Is it balancing or tracking for them?

    Victory tyres Lelia Street

Paul will sort you and check your car before hand to see if any work needs to be done before tracking

Don't think I am allowed to post phone number but just google Victory tyres Limerick for contact details

Balancing and tracking/alignment are two completely different things.

The purpose of balancing is to balance the rotating assemblies(wheels/tyres) to prevent any vibration at speed. Normal balancing has no effect on tyre wear and would be felt as a vibration through the steering wheel, usually at motorway speeds.

Wheel alignment is adjusting all the wheels angles in relation to the road so that the wheels/tyres are pointing straight(toe) ahead as well as sitting flat and level(camber) on the road and also sitting directly in line with each other left to right and front to back(castor, thrust angle etc)
The term tracking just refers to adjusting the Toe(straight ahead) as this is all that basic machines/equipment can read.

Ideally all measurements of front and rear alignment should be checked, regardless of if your car has factory fitted adjustment for the angles as they can still be off, even if they can't be adjusted.

Hope that helps your understanding a bit:)
