    Am in recovery from illness,anorexia.physically unfit..muscle loss,fatigue ect.
    but my dream is to get back in to sports and basketball used to be one of my favs,only problem iswhen I lost confidence I gave up Sports. Im not physically capablee yet...but hope to be in time yay!,any tips to get me started from scratch?am now basically beginner all over again,need to know basic rules,passing techniiques,ways to slowly strengthen my muscles,how to pass properly,what kind of shoes/shorts/ball to buy:p,have got in contact with great club,...

    firstly take it your male but if im wrong correct me... makes a difference where you can play or your options really! and for clothing etc.

    starting off you just need a decent pair of runner/boots some shorts and a light enough top. general gym gear really. if you get more serious you can look at buying proper bball boots.

    clubs wise the season is not yet started but most teams are back playing and training at this stage. there is a whole range of divisions in dublin and across ireland. http://www.dmbb.net/clubs.aspx this is a list of all the clubs in dublin and there contact details..

    another option is to get involved in social basketball, bit more fun if a less organised. there is a few different games on at different times during the week. one on tonight in dublin 1. details for it are on the forum here somewhere. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055903993

    Yeah I'd also recommend going to social games every week as well. I go to one every Thursday and generally there tends to be a wide range of different abilities so it wouldn't matter at all if you hadn't played in a while!
