Just back from a few days camping in the Glen of Aherlow with the wife and dog (their first time camping) and it is a lovely place. There are several wooded walks marked out from 30 mins to 4 hours and more unmarked mountain walks. Found the campsite (The Glen of Aherlow Caravan and Camping Park) very clean and lots of hot water (free showers). The weather was VERY windy at night with lots of rain , the wife and dog stayed awake nearly all night but I slept grand. We will be making a point of going back again next year with better weather.

Grand old place alright, stayed a night in some kind of guesthouse / restaurant place, and took a walk in the woods the next day, would like to go back and climb the hills around it sometime.
