I probably should have done this BEFORE purchasing but anyway....

    today i bought a HP nc6400 for 180 euro.

manufacturer refurbished, 80gb hd, 1gb ram, 14 inch screen, 1.8 ghz processor (intel core 2 duo)

dvd-rom/cd-rw, 10-100 lan card, xp, internet ready, fingerprint thingy, powersupply and all other fancy pants stuff i dont really understand.

Was it good for 180 or did i get taken to the cleaners?

180 sounds ok to me. It wont set the world on fire but it'll be handy for browsing and word processing. Any warranty?

erm.... not really, i got it off ebay, although the seller seems sound enough and well established.

seven day warranty from Day Of Arrival is all i can see.

i was just aiming for something for browsing, minor stuff, watch a dvd, play a simple game, type deal.
