I was researching something about Killester in the Newspaper Archives and I found this which I thought was amusing.
I couldn't get the last link working. Can you check this one out please

Has anyone heard of them ?

Ah Feck, I give up ! Basically it was an ad in the Indo for cigarettes called Killester Whiffs. The slogan was 'Once you smoke them, you smoke them always'. Made in Dublin by Macnaughton, Jenkins and Co. 'As Irish as the terrier'.
    10 for 4d.
Never heard of them myself and was wondering if anyone else had.
    Sorry about the link.

Was there a Southside version called Terenure Puffs?

I think whiffs might be cigars that are machine rolled and not hand rolled and so cheaper.

    The little cigars slim ones

    I found this ciggerette card
