    Option 2 I think.

Few types of sunny tyres. Don't look good. Try camskills, search the motors section for it. I like hankook ventus' right now.

Cheap muck, don't go near them.

Previous owner of my car had these on when I bought it and to be honest they were frightening. Understeer city in the wet. I can't remember what the grip was like in the dry, I just remember having a few scary moments in the wet and vowing to never buy cheap tyres.

    Poor enough tyre.

They're called Sunny cos they don't work in the rain (or the dry I suppose)

Seriously, avoid. It'd be like buying your jonnies in the €2 shop. good rubber costs money.
Good quality used ones are widely available (tyres)

I relate these to Duracell Bunnies. Had em on a Mondeo a while back. You take corner in the wet and you'll keep going and going and going and going and going.......

Better wet grip from tyres made of leather, or perhaps wood.

Excuse the Pun but steer clear... very popular in the current economic climate where price is king. For an extra few euro you will get tyres that will stop you..

What every one else said. If you want to go down that route but part worn Vredstreins or something else with a good name. I am not saying part worns are a great idea but I would buy them anyday before that muck.

What size are they and how much are they costing? I cannot see a situation where they are the best value for money. You can buy a part worn tyre fitted cheaply now. I bought two about six months ago (215/55/16). Officially they had at least 6mm thread (75% of new) fitted and balanced for €96. And these were Bridgestones. While I did not measure the tread depth they looked almost brand new. And they have went through a NCT since

I have bought from Camskill in the past and I think they are the best value to be had for new tyres here.

I never thought I would ever be buying part worn tyres but times change. Suffice to say I was very happy with the deal. I have not named the dealer as I am a new poster here and don't want to be accused of advertising. I have no connection to the company but I have seen them mentioned many times on Boards
