Organising a group trip for work

Working has it's perks, like money, money can be traded for AEGs and such.
Work also give friends to introduce to a new outlet for the aforementioned money.

I need a site, within about an hours drive from Carlow.
It needs to be able to host 15-20 newbies for maybe 4/5 hours of play on a Friday afternoon.
Would prefer to spend about €25 per person.

    Any ideas?

With apologies to the other suitable sites in the southeast it sounds like Vacant might be a good fit for this outing. Based in Naas they do rental packages and afaik can accommodate groups for private bookings. It also has the distinct advantage that it's mostly indoor so the weather shouldn't be a factor and players won't need to buy additional clothing as they might for an outdoor site. Give Brian a buzz or contact him via Facebook to see what he can do for you.

if you want some outdoor then drop Wexfrd airsoft a line... about a half hour away from carlow and is 100% outdoor... great site... and would suite your needs aswell....
but they sold all thier rental guns so at the moment they have none... but even asking wouldnt hurt.

Worth a try but these guys: http://www.specialops.ie/

I know for fact they run Airsoft events to order and its an excellent venue. They just hosted the Irish Woodsball League (Annual Paintball Tournament) so the actual place itself is of extremely high quality i.e. Running Water, Changing Facilities, Proper Shop and they can organize catering. The game zones are very high calibre with running streams and over hangs. Sounds nerdy but uber cool.

As a bonus, they're about 20 mins or less out of Carlow.

Vacant has the advantage of not being weather dependant, huge site with the ability to use only small sections.

Also, they have piles of rentals and you can be in naas in about 30 minutes down the m9/7. You can also play after work if that suits.

you sure they still do airsoft?
as Go tactical used to run the airsoft til it closed down for it...
as far as im aware they dont do it anymore..
unless you mean that you can rent the place for the day just to play airsoft?

Absolutely positive they do airsoft. Was there last week. They just don't actively advertise it as it isn't their main business. However they will gladly organize and run a day for you. And they are extremely good at running events.

Go Tactical had some arrangement to rent the venue but they are no longer involved and there is no comparison on professionalism ;)

It is a pity as I'm only getting into Airsoft but from playing Paintball there, its an ace site. However from talking to the lads working their, there is a strong interest in airsoft and I wouldn't be surprised if they started up a weekly airsoft meet there. As I said, I'm pretty sure GoTact just rented the place for the airsoft.

As regards rentals, I have no idea but I'd say they could easily organize it because one of the lads who works there is very up on the old airsoft and as a company goes they are more than accommodating. I'd say give them a ring, worst they could say is no :)
