made up this yesterday, havent got a bird to put in it, tried bread and a broken egg in it, but little f***ers of swalllows and other small birds keep setting it off, eating the bait and heading back out through the mesh,,
made the cage out of 2 inch light mesh (€16 for 8x4 sheet), two rat trap springs (€6), total cost €22 biggrin.gif happy days
the cage is 18 inches high, 18 inches wide, two compartments,, seems to work a treat,, next on the list is a fox trap biggrin.gif

question is whats the best to use to bait the trap??

i use a full egg not broken in a bit of straw(looks like a nest), can be slow sometimes but you do get them in eventually.
