How come you're after that model in particular? I've got one (not for sale) but I didn't think it would be worth much!

Want a cheap mac for a while to see is it worth paying 1200 for a new one.

What spec is yours? Definitely not for sale??? lol

It's the model you're after with a few upgrades. Definitely not for sale at the moment.

^ The OP is looking for it second-hand.

As I said on the other thread though, I'd be wary about buying a black Macbook second-hand. You may end up paying a 100-200 premium for it just because it's black. I'd recommend looking at the white models instead. Maybe see if you can get a plastic unibody Macbook.

So you find it a good laptop? Do you mind me asking what upgrades have you?

Yeah I know that, but they seem to be similar in price.

Think it will be kinda hard to get an black apple unibody?

It got three years old solid use and it's still pretty capable when it comes to iPhone development, web dev and general usage. Best laptop I've ever owned. I'm using an MBP now, but don't want to get rid of my Blackbook.

The upgrades are all basic user replaceable things. 4GB RAM and a 250GB HDD.

There is no black unibody - only the previous generation design which is what you're after. The plastic unibody design was only ever released in white. Does it need to be a laptop? If you want to just take Mac OS X for a test drive before buying a newer/pricier model, maybe an older Mac Mini would be cheaper? You could always use it as a brilliant Media Center afterwards too, if you do end up getting a newish MacBook/Pro/Air...

I need a laptop, I picked a slightly old mac just to see how it is and to see if I will like it.

If I do I'll end up getting a new one next year.
