    Hi Guys,

First time poster and all that!

Just wondering if anyone has any opinions lately on weddings in Inishowen, DOnegal. bsolutely beautiful part of the country and we're thinking of 4 venues:

    Redcastle Hotel
    An Grianan
    Ballyliffen Lodge
    Inishowen Gateway in Buncrana

If anyone has been at any weddings here recently I'd love to hear from you. Trying to organise this wedding from abroad so any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hi.
Was at a family wedding in the Redcastle last year.Absolutely fantastic! Room was beautiful as was the view directly onto the Lough Foyle. Food was excellent and the room was a nice size. The dance floor was a separate area in the room so no tables had to be moved to make way for dancing and nobody lost their seat.
Has to be one of the best weddings that I have been to recently!

Inishowen Gateway backs onto Lough Swilly and has lovely views.

Never been to Ballyliffin but it's meant to be gorgeous.

I've heard An Grianan is very nice, but on the small side.

If a mod is reading this, can you please copy to the Donegal forum, it'll get way more accurate replies than mine there. Thanks.

I've been to weddings in all of them and Redcastle would be the best in my opinion. Beautiful views over the foyle and set well back from the road in it's own grounds. Ballyliffen Lodge is nice but bit of a celtic tiger era hotel. Not much life about it. An grianan is ok but not much grounds around it and situated right next to a very busy road. Inishowen Gateway is a bit dated to be honest
