After how many years does previous experience become pointless?

I've a degree and 2 years experience working as a fund accountant back in Ireland.. Now I've been off around the world travelling and teaching for the last year.

No intentions of going home.. But the option of working in London or Melbourne in a bank maybe next year isn't too bad. If ya were me, when would you put the deadline at which I should really try and do this work again?

Travelling and pissing about it fun but I don't want the degree and experience to end up pointless if I leave it too long. I'm not ready to settle into a career yet so I'm just thinking another year or two of career work before travelling again could be a good idea.

We are of course happy you arent dead.

The general thinking was that you may not return to post with all the "so much blood" posts you made.
