I don't seem to recall either Kenny or Gilmore saying there would be no cuts whatsoever. Though Labour were 'reluctant' to admit too much. And quite honestly who actually thought there wouldn't be any given the shíte we got ourselves into.

Yeah let's cut nothing and sure it'll be all fine.

And btw Bono pays his personal tax (which I'm guessing is a lot more than any of us) but a business he one fifth owns is based in the Netherlands.

Both EDNA and the Labour Party PROMMISED NO cuts to social welfare,or you NOT read and watch like the rest of us, and as long as people dont do something then were all fkd,as for BOBO and co they get away with it all the time while we close hospitals,he still hasnt found what he's looking for,HIS fkn concience .

They could have promised the moon was made out of cheese but that won't change our financial position. More cuts will happen and sorry but anyone who believed otherwise was very foolish indeed.

I saw cuts mentioned.
They are well needed. Face it. This country cannot sustain on the hight amount of everything that currently exists.

I really cannot understand why people keep complaining about cuts and then expect us to just magically come out of recession

How do we pay for everthing?

The country is running at around a €15B deficit, where does that money come from?
And before you start on about banks and bailouts or whatever, the deficit is the running of the country, nothing to do with that stuff.

I understand we need cuts,but why do people on social welfare have to be the ones who get the cuts ALWAYS,why dont we cut the number of NON E.U.people,that will save a lot,cut the 2 pension scheme for political big wigs,at least the French take to the streets,as a kid I heard about the "fighting Irish" now its the "sleeping Irish" I am no longer proud to be Irish,and b4 ya say it,YES I'm gettin outa here.

Social welfare is in huge need of reform. The system is being massively abused and far too much is being given out imo.

I know,but not ALL on welfare are doing good,if all our political big wigs took a 10% pay cut as well as people on welfare then that would be equality.

BONO is an artist and IMO rightly pays low TAX legally, unlike the other Con Artist, Bertie & Co. who is now an artist too, and does not have to pay nay TAX.
