I use a lightforce 170 for scanning fields and for taking the shot if I'm lamping with a partner. If I'm lamping alone I use a led lenser m7r for taking shots

seem good and bright tommy, i would def go for a red lens, i havent got one at the minute, but as soon as get the quid together gonna def be investing in a nightsearcher or clulite with feww different colour filters.. the red doesnt seem to disturb some foxes at all especially if they are wise of the lamp.. ;)

I shoot alone 90% of the time. Just wondering what weight it will add to the rifle? Plus dont want somethin massive as its only a .17 so its a small rifle with a short barrell and dont want it too heavy

i have a lightforce 140 with red filter. plenty of light over the distances i shoot. i also have a led lenser that intially was on he scope mount but i found it too awkward, so now i have it taped to the forend of the rifle. i have also wrapped card around the top to reduce spread of light and i made a red filter from a broken one.

ive the led lenser on my 22 and its great for shooting on your own right ok if there are two lads big lamp is always better but ive taken more rabbits with led lenser than the big lamp as rabbits around here take of as soon as they see a light

i dont find it to heavy the only problem i find is if its a bright nite it takes away from led lenser a fair bit the dark the nite the better it works

your welcome to try mine before you spend money

Light force 170 you won't go wrong.

A red filter knocks the bollox out of the strength of the p7. I also find you go threw battery's at good pace as the light isn't great when they get week.

Tommy pm me if you want to try the p7 and the lf170 some nite.
