Ok, I've tried looking up info a Saorview/Freeview combo box to replace my Sky multiroom box.

Can I use my Sky box without a card as a Saorview/Freeview combo box & keep my other Sky+ HD package. Or will I need to buy a separate saorview box?

I live in Westmeath, will I be able to receive Freeview channels?

you can keep the sky box for the sat channels , (just remove the card and reboot to see what channels you will have )

As for rte you will need a saorview receiver of some sort. ~€50 to go with the sky box .

do you intend to keep paying the sky sub for the hd box?

    Thanks for the reply,

What channels will be on the box when it reboots, will the 'other channels' UTV ect be watchable?

What is the best Saorview box to buy?

Yeah I intend on keeping the my main Sky HD package. Is there any way to reduce the cost of my package?

I don't know about the best box to buy but I got a few of these

Works perfectly well for me & is very reasonably priced.
