UPC DVR user interface

    I either think the UI on the UPC dvr boxes is crap or I'm missing something. Apart from the slowness in comparison to Skys, I cannot fathom why, If I want to record an upcoming show or series that I am unable to simply search for the show to find out when it is on.

    If I know what day and time it is on then it's possible, but awkward, to change the day and go to the time to select to record. I've been spoilt by previously using Windows Media Centre for tv recording which had all sorts of nice searching and filtering, e.g. action movies / drama etc. I also miss the ability to be able to fix schedule conflicts.

    I really hope that UPC can provide some sort of better UI update or that this app they talk about will allow me to manage my DVR options remotely.

    Actually when you really think about it the Sky interface is rubbish but it shines in comparison to the UPC one. Its unbearable ;-)

    ya skys is crap
    and if upcs was just faster it would be way better.

    both have there problems

    you have to wait for the guide to load on upc

    but then you have to wait for program info to load on sky
