Chest X-ray

Hi, I got a chest X-ray done last wed and I should receive my results on Friday. I'm a bit nervous about the results as I thought I seen a white patch going through the right hand side of the chest cavity.

After the X-ray was finished, I felt terrified by what I seen and asked the tech if it looked ok. She Said it did look ok from her perspective but that she wasn't a specialist and that the results would be sent out and not to worry.
This eased my mind somewhat until my husband informed me that even if she had seen anything in the x-ray she wouldn't have been at liberty to discuss this with me.

Friday seems such a long time away, and last night I woke up sweating after having a nightmare about getting bad results. Is it true that the tech couldn't tell me she seen something even if she did see something? And if they seen something serious would they still send me home? Would really appreciate any thoughts on this matter. Thanks. :)
