:rolleyes: sick to death of hearing this default response in AH, and it crops up in numerous other forums. It's like if someone has a controversial or un-PC outlook on things, especially if it involves girls or relationships/social interactions the OP gets blasted [with p!ss...another jaded retort] for his POV.

Actually, i rather like "out there" and very controversial types...yeah you get the blatant trolling types just looking for a reaction, but...many OP are legit in what they say and belive.

While i may not agree with what they have to say i loathe when said posters get crucified and the threads get locked, to my mind this forum is VERY cliquey...if you're not in with the cool crew you get chewed up and locked down

Yeah but you seem to be forgetting the stage that PC is at these days. Being un-PC or in your words bigoted is, in many cases, OTT these days. Depends on your standards when judging what is PC and what isn't.

The OP has a valid point about internet discussions/debates.

If you go on to a Christian website or an extreme right website and you post something like, no gays and minorities have an equal right to tolerance, peace and aspiration, you will be called a troll.

Sometime people are called trolls when they go against a boards grind or popular opinion.

The internet does that it creates a popular consensus eventually we will all think the same, or face reneducation, or worse be accused of trolling.
