Good End of October Holiday ?

    I got a weeks holidays at the end of Oct.

    Could anyone recommend a nice sunny country? I looked at Malta but it seems thats the only month it rains there? And Malaga, Spain, same thing likely rain...:mad: .

    not the Carribean or anything fancy like that, please. 'Twould have to be Europe for price reasons.

    I would appreciate any suggestions and will let you know where I decide to go and why.

    Portugal? I went to Albufeira last year on October 16th and it was surprisingly warm! The sun shined all day every day :D Was chilly at night time i.e. needed a light jacket but we could still sit outside at bars and restaurants - most of them had patio heaters on! Was tres cheap too, only 425euro for the two of us :D:D:D

    We always head to gran canaria but remember the end of oct is the kids mid term - 29th

    No kids. Its because herself is a teacher we're going mid term.

    Okay well everywhere will be full of kid and double the price - if there is even anything available - I have been looking and everything is over 600 each - thats for the canaries. Obviously other places may be cheaper but its really on the Canaries that can pretty much 'guarantee' the sun! :)

    If you are looking for pure sunshine then the Canaries is the only place to get it. But I've been in Southern Spain in November and wore shorts and tshirts! Southern Spain and the Algarve would be nice and very reasonably priced end of October. Check out www.aerlinguspackages.com , they have some really good holiday prices.
