New Android and best network

    Hi guys

Just about to get a new android (will be sensation or s2) and will be travelling back and forth between the uk and ireland on a weekly basis. 3/4 days spent in either location on any given week so pretty equally spread.

Im sure there is someone out there doing the same and can recommend the best network for this regarding network coverage and cost.

Research so far shows that o2, voda and 3 are expensive.
Meteor told me today that on billpay texts and calls made from uk back to ireland would come out of text and calls in plan. This seemed unlikely but he was adament.

Any comments or help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

3 are by far the best value. Also you can use 25% of your units for calling/texting the UK and once connected to 3UK there are no roaming costs for calls, texts or data (its called 3 Like Home, search boards for it)

you think three are the best value even for purchasing a new phone such as sensation/s2?

the price of the handsets are €200 more than meteor on similar plans

The phone is free on 3 on classic flex max on 24mth contract or €179 on 18mth.

If you look at it over the term of the contract, 3 will be the cheapest overall. Especially if you are going to use data.

I was talking to a guy in a Meteor store at the weekend and he told me that calls made and sms sent while you are roaming do not come out of your bundle, you will be charged the out of bundle rates. E.g. 25c per min

I didn't know about the texting uk units
I think I get charged for all mine......
Your spot on about best value though, three beat the rest of the providers by a country mile!
